JOB OVERVIEW:
Completion Engineers are responsible for developing plans to improve the production from a well. They designs and monitors the installation of well completions and helps devise methods to improve oil and gas well production. Completion Engineers will also design and plan the wellbore-reservoir interface and completion equipment used to produce oil and gas. This can also include inject drives or waste fluids monitors.
Day to day:
One a day to day basis Completion Engineers review service rig operations and performance; call-out services and equipment; investigate problems; estimate and track costs; develop ideas to improve performance; evaluate potential well servicing contractors and their performance; and to report on operations and costs.
