JOB OVERVIEW:

Data Analysts are the hub for the vast amount of data and knowledge relating to oil and gas projects.

Data Analysts break down large volumes of data and knowledge into pieces and analyse them to make them more valuable. Data Analysts transform knowledge into mathematics and then have to communicate this information to various teams. This can cover every field in the industry as they all generate data waiting to be analysed.

This role includes:

• Interpreting and converting the data from many different sources.
• Communicating and preparing data and tools for analysis.
• Data is monitored, processed and analysed.
• The conclusion of the analysis is the result of a lot of preparation of vast amounts of data.
• Communicating directly with the domain experts in the practical oil and gas fields.
• An understanding of mathematics, statistics, computer science and programming.
• Understanding of the underlying oil and gas technical issues.
