I hold undergraduate degrees in physics and economics from Stanford University and graduate degrees in mechanical engineering and technology policy from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. I retired in 2022 from ExxonMobil after 33 years, working applied research topics in the areas of drilling, subsurface technology, and related computational modeling. I worked at Shell for 3+ years between my Masters and PhD degrees, where I worked in geophysical programming applications. I am an author or co-author of more than 60 technical articles and patents.
