I am a lead petroleum engineer/petrophysicist working in the Southern Area Petrophysics Unit of Saudi Aramco’s Reservoir Description and Simulation Department. I have almost 27 years of experience in the oil and gas industry.
In 1997, I received my B.S. degree in petroleum engineering from Bandung Institute of Technology, Bandung, Indonesia. I received M.S. degree in Petroleum Engineering from Heriot-Watt University, Edinburgh, Scotland, U.K.
Before joining Saudi Aramco, I worked for several service companies, including Western Atlas, Baker Hughes, Precision Energy Services, and Weatherford, for almost 17 years as Wireline Logging Engineer, LWD Engineer and Directional Driller.
Since joining Aramco, I have also served as SME for Logging While Drilling. For the last few years, I have been at UPDC as an instructor for Well Log Applications and Operations. SPE certification was awarded in 2016.
I served as Secretary General in the Indonesian Petroleum Engineers Association chapter KSA (IATMI-KSA) from 2017–2019 and was elected President for the period 2019–2021.
