Marc Willerth currently works as part of Helmerich & Payne’s Global Research and Innovation Team working on drilling automation and wellbore placement solutions. Over the last 15 years he has held a variety of roles in drilling ranging from junior field engineer to global product support at companies big, small, and everywhere in between. He is active in the SPE Wellbore Positioning Technical Section (also known as the ISCWSA) and enjoys speaking on survey uncertainty, data quality, and the value data can bring to decision-making. He has co-authored over 25 patents and publications in the drilling technology space and holds bachelor’s degrees in Chemistry and Chemical Engineering from Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana.
